Context:
The disposal of waste in the most economical and environmentally sustainable way needs to be secured, given an increased population and existing sites reaching capacity.
Members with an interest / knowledge of waste disposal is requested to contact

Outcomes:
- Panel of advisors was established;
- Response from District Municipality on a request for information re regional waste management was reviewed by a panel of advisors.
- Questions remain as to the financial structure of the regional waste structure (physical and management), but the association is now included in the project monitoring committee. Details will be pursued via GGDM.
Actions Planned:
- Questions regarding the delayed delivery of the compost facility announced some time ago will be followed up with a request for information;
- A report on the impact on waste management costs due to revised project details on the regional site and potential alternative solutions will be requested from GM.
